When doing customization on soccer apparel and equipment, to ensure a quality end product, it is important the customer provide print-ready digital artwork that meets the following guidelines. In some cases we can provide limited design support for an additional fee.

  • Portable Document Format (.PDF) – Convert text to outlines and add all linked images.
  • EPS (.EPS) - Convert text to outlines and add all linked images.
  • Photoshop (.PSD) – Must include all layers, paths, channels, linked images and fonts.

FILE FORMATS NOT ACCEPTED

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • PowerPoint
  • InDesign

COMMON ISSUES

  • Low image resolution
  • Fonts not outlined
  • Linked images not supplied

IMAGE RESOLUTION

Total file size should be under 1GB. Typically, the best file format is vector which can be scaled up or down infinitely without losing image fidelity. In contrast, raster images (made up of pixels) become fuzzy or 'pixelated' when scaled. If we think your artwork will cause visible pixelation we may reach out to let you know, but we are not obligated to do so as ultimately it is the customers responsibility to supply print-ready artwork. We won't be held liable for customer supplied images that print out pixelated.

IMAGE COLOR

The printed color output on the final product may appear different than how it looked on a monitor. Even when a color is displayed from monitor to monitor it can look different.

Different print applications call for different color formats. Some are stock colors whereas some use Pantone (PMS), CMYK, or other formats. We will attempt to match colors from within a given digital file to the closest possible output color. If you have specific Pantone colors you wish to achieve in the final product you must let us know so we can verify availability of those colors and let you know if we are unable to match them.

KEEP IN MIND

Provide a vector image whenever possible. You can create a vector image in programs like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or Inkscape. Common vector formats are .EPS, .PDF, and .AI.

Programs like Photoshop or GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) can be used to create high resolution raster images.

Notate PMS colors in the digital image file to ensure closest possible color match.
